PearTune is connected to the e-bike system with compatible and original connectors. The MSO does not need to be configured manually. The entire configuration and adaptation to the particular e-bike are done automatically. The MSO is connected in between the magnetic speed sensor and the motor unit, and in between the display and the motor unit. MSO is powered from the display connector. All readings like actual speed, max speed, average speed, distance etc. are correctly displayed. The MSO can be activated or deactivated anytime during the ride by pressing the LIGHT BUTTON. The device state is indicated by a certain element on the display, so the rider always knows whether the device is active or not. Thanks to original connectors the e-bike tuning can be de-installed without any signs and original Yamaha diagnostics (highest level) did not find any signs of the device after removal. The only difference is that from the moment of installation you, not your bike, determine how fast you go. The maximum speed is limited only by the pedalling frequency.

Usage
The MSO-PWX/SE-19 can be activated or deactivated anytime by once short-press of the light button (LIGHT). The original function of this button remains unchanged with a long-press and the walk assist function can be used like before.

This bit is important so please read. Current UK law will only allow you to use this device on PRIVATE LAND where you have the OWNERS PERMISSION. Fitting this device and using it anywhere other than private land is AGAINST THE LAW. If used anywhere else, you will be doing so at your own risk. The Electric Transport Shop Ltd assumes no liability for any damage to property and/or injury to persons caused by improper use of this product. Please note we will never fit these devices and test rides are not available at our stores.

Customers from outside the UK are responsible for checking laws that apply locally and abiding by those laws.
Can de-restricting my e-Bike, cause problems?
Although we have had no reported technical issues due to using this dongle by using it you risk voiding your manufacturer warranties. We will continue to offer the free labour warranty that we offer with all e-bikes bought from us but if your e-bike manufacturer discovers a way to tell that you have unlocked your electric bike system they may void your bike warranty.

Legislation
The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes. This manual is an integral part of the equipment sold. By using the equipment PearTune MSO its user agrees that he will use the modified e-bike in accordance with the applicable legislation of the target country and so does even off-road; therefore, he is free to use it only on his own land or on land designated for that purpose. The user also acknowledges that the operation of bicycles outside their own land or land designated for this purpose with de-activated, but installed equipment PearTune MSO may not be in compliance with legislation. The manufacturer does not warrant non-infringement of bicycle warranties or impossibility of damage or blockage of the e-bike system. The manufacturer disclaims liability for any damages, whether in health or property associated with installing or using this product.


The manufacturer holds the certificate of electromagnetic compatibility testing - Compliance with EU regulations (CE marking) as well as the certificate of restriction of the use of Hazardous Substances (RoHS label).
