The Electric Transport Shop is the leading UK retailer for a new genre of bicycles. Electric bikes (e-Bikes) are changing the face of personal transport around the world with annual sales above 40 million units. We offer an opportunity for the right person to participate in and shape an industry with huge potential.

Our stores become part of their communities and support a transition away from cars to bikes and to more enjoyment of cycling generally.
We are looking for a motivated shop manager with relevant experience who is keen to develop their career in the cycle retail industry.



Role Summary:

To manage store resources and be responsible for developing business and maintaining store services at our London store.

To actively maximise shop turnover and build profitability by ensuring relevant local awareness of the store and by providing the best e-bike retail experience in your area.

To keep good records and make management reports as required.


Demonstrate technical skills and suitable product knowledge and develop your skills as needed.

Develop a plan to build awareness of our store within local cycling clubs and large employers.

Budget management. To deliver a retail experience 2nd to none within budget.

To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage when possible.

Manage a social media page for the shop and update it at least twice a week with pictures of products and customers collecting bikes.

Manage our store in line with our values and ensure everyone working in the store understands our values and the relevant procedures.

Relationships and Roles:

To demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

To build trust, value others, communicate effectively, get things done, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.

Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values.

Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.


The location is London but will require stays elsewhere for training.



  1. Approximately 3-4 years of retail store experience.

  2. Experience with a company in a related company sector.

  3. A passion for mountain biking and knowledge of components would be valuable.

  4. Demonstrate mechanical mindedness and technical aptitude.

  5. Experience of developing, maintaining and nurturing a team focused on team goals.

  6. A strong understanding of customer service and sales practices.

  7. If applicable, a willingness to travel.

  8. A proven ability to succeed in a retail environment.
