Progress in Lithium Battery Technology As the electric vehicle (EV) and ebike market continues its rapid growth in both the US and the UK, some exciting news has recently been announced which will have a major effect on the industry. Researchers have developed a new battery system which will allow EVs to be recharged almost instantaneously.  This technology, dubbed the ‘Ifbattery’ by its creators, can be produced cheaply and is environmentally friendly. Electric Bike Demo Days

Join Us For Some ebike Fun

It's an amazing time right now. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to electric bike models but too much choice can feel a little overwhelming. You want to make sure you make the right choice and choose the best electric bike for you and that's exactly what we want.

You have to test ride a few because you can't tell what something feels like by drewling over an amazing image and reading a list of specifications or even listening to what others have experienced. Although not irrelevant by far the most important thing to do is get hands, feet and bottom (optional) on and go have some fun. See if the bike and you are a good fit.

I surprised myself with my choice of ebike for this year....and I work in the industry. Based on looks, specification and price I was very excited about my choice and couldn't wait for it to arrive...however when it did I had to change my mind. The bike I'd been waiting for just didn't feel right. On paper it should, the geometry was almost perfect for my proportions and preferred riding position, the spec was on point etc but non of that mattered. It didn't feel like part of me, we weren't a good match. That was a shame but at least I hadn't blown the money on it yet and after opening up my options again I'm delighted with my choice and I absolutely love riding it every single day. In fact I'm often looking for reasons to take another ride. It just feels great. It's fun.

I appreciate I'm in a fortunate position but it's a position we want Electric Bike Sales customers to share as much as possible. That's why we have stores full of demonstrator ebikes and staff that can bore you to tears with lots of questions to help us make useful recommendations. To demo some ebikes simply turn up when we're open, bring photo ID (passport or drivers licence) and bring your helmet (we have demo helmets too) and suitable clothes for the prevailing weather.

We also run demo days for electric mountain bikes (eMTB). Just contact us if you'd like to know more or to join in.

 It's crazy fun.
