Mobile Phone Ban
From today drivers caught using mobile phones or other hand held devices whilst driving will face increased penalties and possibly lose their licence. It should be noted that using these devices whilst stationary in traffic or at traffic lights, junctions, etc is also not allowed.
Much of the time in a car is spent somewhere between stationary and crawling pace and for busy people with lots to do there is a temptation is to tick another thing off the list. With more fatalities linked to drivers use of mobile phones and the police crack down on this catching over 8,000 drivers in one week alone it seems sensible to leave the phone alone.
If you become one of the thousands of drivers to lose your drivers licence and have a commute within 30 miles or can manage a multi modal commute then we have a great solution for you.
Come back to cycling by using an electric bike. You can hire an 'ebike' for the period of your ban and at the end you'll have the option to buy it using the hire payments you've made.
We're so confident you'll want to buy one and it'll change your life for the better and here's why:
- Cheaper - approximately £4.50 per 1000 miles
- Healthier - 80% of the health benefits of a normal bike
- Faster in towns and cities - Yes those are cyclists passing you!
- Park almost anywhere
- Enjoy festivities and evenings out
