Haibike 2019 eMTB & Trekking Model Updates.
Excitement in the industry is palpable. Haibike currently sit on the throne of eMTB innovation - consistently delivering successful new ideas year after year and hopefully 2019 will be no different.
So the biggest release for Haibike 2019 will be the Flyon eGroupset which boasts some industry leading performance figures.
The Flyon TQHPR120S motor has a peak torque capability of 120Nm. Haibike set out to design an eBike that best represents their brand promise 'ePerformance'. To do this they've designed the drive system and bike together and considered at each part of the design process where they can make market leading improvements and benefits for their customers.
See our Flyon blog for more info.
Haibike eConnect 2.0
Haibike have updated their eConnect apps on the various app stores and added a few new features:
- rider interface with routing and detailed ride and bike info
- GPS bike tracking
- theft and fall alerts
As before it's available on only specific models.
Yamaha Internal Battery
The other BIG news for 2019 is the integrated battery with the Yamaha eGroupset. Haibike will be using battery packs made in Germany by Europe's biggest lithium battery manufacturer BMZ and offering inTube Haibike designs at incredible prices.
So you can see that Haibike have a really great price on that inTube design. It beats the new Specialized Turbo Levo on specification and value for money. And most importantly you get a rock solid Yamaha motor on the leading German eMTB brand.
Yamaha New eBike Display
Yamaha have released not one but two new displays and the first is similar to the Bosch Purion.
Yamaha Display A
The LCD screen and thumb controls are integrated so that you have one place to look for your information and changes and keeps the handlebars clutter free or with space for your favourite centrally mounted lights.
Yamaha Display C
This is a feature rich colour dot matrix display with a high resolution and connectivity features allowing you to use the screen to see turn by turn navigation, fitness and calorie tracking and more. One eBike you'll find this display on is the very stylish sDuro Trekking 6.0
Yamaha PW-SE Motor
Yamaha revealed their PW-SE motor a few months ago. It represents incremental improvements to the PW motor, bit lighter, quieter and smoother with peak torque staying at a still impressive 70Nm - you'll see this motor through the sDuro range and swapped out for the PW-X motor for the xDuro range. (pictured above).
For 2019 Haibike will stay with the Intuvia and the Purion Bosch displays.
Haibike only use the most powerful motor from Bosch the Performance line CX 75Nm. pictured here with the optional Nyon computer.
