Supplied with either the Sparticle super lightweight and quiet power system, a BionX pedelec system, or a German made Heinzmann motor power system offering by far the best pulling and climbing power available. See here for the electrical options. You need to choose the power system seperately and we are happy to help and advise.

Here are the reasons we think this bike is great:

1.     Weight is low - having the children above the rack/frame will compromise the feel of the bike especially while turning and may accentuate low speed wobble.
2.     Steering - the same as a normal bike so less likely to injure your back or tip over like most of the 3 wheel options.
3.     Stability - the stand allows children to jump/climb/play safely in and out of the box.
4.    Position - your pride and joy are in front of you and you can see them and hear them play/talk/fight (never!)/share and possibly sing, you can also see what they are looking at and if they get afraid comfort them without stopping.
5.     Toys - they have space to carry and play with their toys which can help on longer cycles.
6.     Weather protection - the child tent allows less time to be spent putting those extra rain clothes on...at least some of the time. Unfortunately Daddy isn't invited :-)
7.     Safety - you can see what the children are doing and they have the added protection of the box and seatbelts if an accident occurs.
8.     Room to grow - literally! We have many pictures of adults (more than one) being carried in the box.
9.     Presence - you are more visible and cars give you a bit more respect and space.
10.     Width - the bike is no wider than a normal bike and fits perfectly in cycle lanes and through cycle barriers onto cycleways.
11.     Power - we can conceal most of the electrics under the seat in a locker. the power will not only help you up the hills but help you to avoid the danger of low speed wobble as well as getting into space from the traffic lights avoiding the usual jostle.
12.     Efficiency - We can supply a bracket for your smart phone so you can see your satnav, check your speed or make calls on the way to the office (add £20).

As a child carrier the cargo offers significantly greater protection from the elements and other road users. The children are infront where you can see them and with such a low centre of gravity the balance is superb. Most people can't believe how easy these long bikes are to cycle, you will certainly be pleasantly surprised.

Parking is a doddle using the centre stand and the bike can be parked while you are in the riding position in full control. The width of the centre stand means that the bike is extremely stable when parked allowing it to be loaded with passengers and/or cargo without the risk of toppling.

A very versatile bike designed by Maarten van Andel capable of carrying heavy and bulky loads with reassuring stability due to the low center of gravity and rigid monotube construction. The Cargo L is an extended version of the standard model for extra capacity. The strong rear carrier rack can be fitted with a childs seat, panniers or a basket. Finished in durable powder coat paintwork and with stainless steel parts used where possible the Cargo Bike will not only give you many years of service but also retain its new appearance.

• Both standard and long versions are available in 7 and 8 speed Hub versions. Hub gears offer low maintenance and the ability to change gears while stationary for e.g. to move off from traffic lights.
• Rear roller brake and front V brake.
