SMARTA ebike batteries are amongst the first to receive BATSO certification. They are also certified to EN 61000 and the bikes are EN 19154 certified.

The FX offers the usual robust build quality, reliable performance and stylish presentation of SMARTA ebikes, but in a rather flexible package. We feel that you will be astounded by the power, weight and performance characteristics that define the SMARTA range of ebikes.

It has a low step through with 20" wheels so it is one of the few ebikes suitable for riders shorter than 5'2". That being said we have a 6'4" test rider who felt right at home on it.That's one of the acid tests of a real folder....it's ability to make tall riders comfortable while remaining essentially a small lightweight product.

4 levels of pedal assistance can now be selected from the handlebar controls, including turning the bike on or off. Additionally, this bike has regenerative charging. When the power is turned off but you are pedalling or coasting, the motor acts as a dynamo, recharging the battery.  You also have the option of a twist and go throttle that will help you start off on hills and navigate encroaching traffic.

You get a 2 year warranty (1 year or 1,000 cycle battery warranty) and each model has an inspection certificate to show when and who Quality Checked it before it left the factory.

SMARTA ebikes offer the best value for money.

You get a lot of nice touches for your money. For example you get a Shimano hub gear system (less muck and maintenance), a modular electrics system for customer friendly repair or maintenance, durable sealed bottom bracket axle and for easy transportation even the pedals fold. This bike has the Smarta Regenerative system, which means that the motor recharges the battery as you pedal or coast with the power off.

The system is entirely modular so if you are a roaming motorhome owner and you need a replacement component while abroad all components can be changed within 10 mins without any experience or technical knowledge.
