Having previously retrofitted a few Nano Brompton conversions, we decided there was room for improvement. Now you get a modern electric sensorless brushless motor with the lightest Lithium Polymer battery on the market. Power without excess weight, and now with the niggles ironed out you get superb reliabiltiy and the best folding electric bike money can buy without compromising the excellent fold of the Brompton. 

You can now order your new Brompton with the electrics fitted. Simply choose the model below and list any of Bromptons optional extras you require in the details box along with your preferred colour. Optional extras will be manually added to the bill at no more than Brompton's SRP. Please note currently titanium forks on the x models will be replaced by standard forks.

Brompton's are of course one of the worlds most popular bicycles and it is not hard to see why. They are beautifully engineered and perfectly practical. They allow the sensible minority that choose not to drive entirely from AtoB to use a combination of transport options over a single journey.

So if you are reading this and you are an admirer of the Brompton you will understand why a time consuming, painstaking approach to the development of this kit was neccessary.

The Kit includes: A high efficiency motor, adaptation of your existing forks or exchange for a pre-modified item,  an extended seat post, battery & charger, controller and rack with casing, twist grip throttle/battery guage, all cables and fixtures, keys to lock the battery to the rack and turn on the electrics.

The 2011 Sparticle Kit comes with many improvements (after listening to our customer feedback) including:

• handlebar mounted ON/OFF switch
• An extremely easy to fit extendable modular connection system with easy to use connectors.
• Battery lock
• Upgraded charger circuitry to balance the battery cells for a longer life and better performance. 10 year battery warranty available with 6 monthly servicing.
• Top quality rims with stainless steel spokes made and built to last
• A variety of specially made washers are available to ensure the perfect motor wheel fit in your bicycle forks. This is essential to avoid anti-rotation, sometimes an issue with cheaper kits.

If you choose our wheel build option (£80) it not only includes the special rim and stainless steel spokes but a Brompton Kevlar tyre and inner tube...fully prefitted to the special forks.

Please note the items for sale here are a conversion kit and services. The Brompton bicycle is not included.
